Raised Leaf Afghan Knitting Pattern Mail Order Design 879

 Knitted Afghan : This pattern contains directions for knitting an afghan of 12 inch squares in a raised leaf design, using Knitting Worsted or synthetic yarn. It can be made of all one color or four different colors. Color options are given. The finished afghan measures 48 x 60 inches

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 879.  The newspaper description:  "Warm up wintery days with a cozy, colorful throw the family will admire and cherish. Raised leaf creates luxurious texture. Knit warm, light afghan of squares. Perfect for den, trips"   he pattern was included in the 1973 Needlecraft Patterns Catalog.  

Laura Wheeler also marketed this knitted leaf square as Design 852.   It was the same design, but sized at 7-1/2 and 13 inches.  I don't have this pattern, but I'm on the lookout!
