Reversible Panel Knitted Afghan Pattern

Reversible Afghan: This pattern has directions to knit the afghan, crocheted border, shown. The afghan, vintage 1950 from American Thread, is knit in nine strips of brown, red, tan and green (or colors of your choice). Knit the easy individual panels, join and crochet the scalloped border all the way around. The finished afghan - which is reversible - measures 56 x 70 inches

Materials:   4-Ply Knitting Worsted, 8 (13/4-oz.) skeins each of dark brown, tan, red and 4 skeins green;   Knitting needles No. 3 (standard). English size, 10;   Crochet hook No. 3 for edge.

Gauge: 6 sts=1" ; 7 rows=1".
