Ribbed Short Sleeve Dress Knitting Pattern

Style 1941 : This pattern, vintage 1960's from Bernat, gives direction to knit the dress pictured. Here's a wonderful, semi-form fitting design that has favorite written all over. The pullover dress starts with spaced ribbing on the bodice, to close knit ribbing at the waist span and back to spaced for the skirt. There are elbow length sleeves and a high round neckline and tie belt. This pattern is written for a size 10, with changes for 12, 14 and 16 in parentheses.

Materials:

• BERNAT Jaeger Shire Spun (40 gram balls) 15(15-16-17)
• 1 pair each BERNAT-Aero straight knitting needles Nos. 5 and 8 Canadian Needles Nos. 9 and 6) OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE GIVEN BELOW

GAUGE

• 11 sts= 2 inches; 7 rows =1 inch in pattern stitch
• 6 sts = 1 inch; 13 rows2 inches in ribbing
