This is a good basic dress that invites accessories, adapts itself to any hour of the day, any page on the calendar. Knit of wool boucle in a simple ribbed pattern that widens gradually to a gently flaring hemline. Variable neckline to wear open or closed.

Description

Ribbed Dress : This pattern contains directions to knit the dress pictured.   This vintage design is quite flattering with deep v-neckline, small fold back collar and belted waist in all all-over rib stitch.  Knit to length desired.   This pattern, vintage 1950s, is women's size 14, 16 and 18.

Materials:   Bishop's Wool Boucle, 23 (25- 27) 1-oz, skeins.   Straight knitting needles No.2;   Circular needle No. 2 (standard). English size, 11;   1 yd. ½" elastic;   1 yd. grosgrain ribbon;   10" slide fastener.    Gauge:7 sts = 1"; 10 rows = 1".
