Description

Rickrack: This pattern contains instructions to crochet the afghan pictured above. Rickrack - An old fashioned name for an old-fashioned afghan. The variety of bright colors, used in hit and miss manner, make it very gay and will add a cheerful note to any room. Very similar to ripple or wave designs.   This afghan is worked in one piece with single crochet border.

This pattern is from Minerva, vintage 1943. The finished afghan is approx. 52 x 66 inches.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • MINERVA MILADY KNITTING YARN (4 ounce skeins), 15 Skeins Assorted Colors, 2 Skeins-Black -OR-
  • MINERVA AFGHAN GERMANTOWN (2 ounce skeins),25 Skeins-Assorted Colors.
  • 4 Skeins-Black
  • ATHENA NONINFLAMMABLE CROCHET HOOK- Size 4-6 inch

GAUGE: 5 S.C. to 1 inch.
