Description

Roses in Bloom: This pattern gives instructions to crochet the lovely afghan pictured above, and featured on the cover of Star Book 239 from 1948. This afghan is made up of 5 strips, 3 embroidered with the floral design and all attached together with a comfortably sized border. A graph is included for the embroidery.

The afghan measures approx. 50 x 70 inches (including fringe).

Materials Required:

  • Chadwicks Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 41 balls (1 oz balls) of French Gold, 21 balls of Leaf Green; 4 balls each of Florida Blue and Depp Rose, 3 balls of Mid Rose; 2 balls each of Wild Rose, Blu Jewel and Oak Green (or colors of your choice). 
  • Bone Afghan Hook No 6.
