Description

Crocheted Doilies: These two filet crocheted doilies can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They can be used as buffet and luncheon sets or as odd doilies. The center motif is a lovely rose display, oval in shape with scalloped edges. Crochet the large doily at 18 x 36 or 12 x 24 inches. Crochet the smaller doilies at 12 x 18 or 8 x 12 inches. Full page charts for the filet crochet are included.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6729 in 1940.

MaterialsMercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook;   or No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (125 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.   2 (500 yard) skeins of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton will make 1 large or 3 small doilies or 6 (125 yard) balls of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton will make 1 large or 3 small doilies.
