Description

Filet Crochet Edging and Insertion:  This pattern gives directions to create the edging and insertion pictured.   This is a lovely rose motif designed for bedspreads.   Create the rose motif lace at 10, 8-1/2 or 7-1/2 inches wide, by length desired.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements. This pattern was marketed by the Needlework Bureau in 1940.  

Materials:   For one yard of lace edging 10 inches wide, and one yard of insertion 9 inches wide, 11 balls no. 30 mercerized crochet cotton, (150 yd. balls). Steel crochet hook size 12 (Standard). For one yard of lace edging 8-1/2 inches wide, and one yard of insertion 7-1/2 inches wide, 7 balls no. 40 mercerized crochet cotton, (175 yd. balls). Steel crochet hook size 13 (Standard).
