Description

Filet Crocheted Squares:  These two filet squares - worked in a rose design are to be made of string or of fine cotton. They may be combined to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and buffet sets; each design may be used alone if desired. The pattern includes a chart of each square also directions describing how the charts are to be used.  The squares are 6-1/2 or 10 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 846 in 1962.   The pattern was also marketed under the Alice Brooks brand.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Unbleached crochet and knitting cotton in (800 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook;   or No. 50 mercerized crochet cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook   (Each square requires approximately 150 yards of heavy cotton or 92 yards of fine cotton)
