Rose Filet Runner Mats Pattern Design 7370

Filet Crocheted Scarfs and Mats:  This pattern contains directions for making four different scarfs and mats. All the articles can be made either of No. 50, No. 50 or No. 70 Mercerized Crochet Cotton; the choice of the cotton governs the size and texture of the piece. Included in the pattern are filet charts for the scarfs and mats.  The extra long scarfs are 19 x 64, 16 x 53 or 12 x 40 inches.   The long scarfs are 19 x 57, 16 x 47 or 12 x 36 inches.  The medium scarfs are 19 x 50, 16 x 41 or 12 x 31 inches and the short scarfs are 19 x 42, 16 x 55 or 12 x 26 inches.   The mats are 19 x 19 inches, 16 x 13 inches or 12 x 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisement.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7370 in 1942.  The Alice Brooks Brands had previously released this pattern in 1938 as well.
