Round Cable Rug Knitting Pattern Design 594

KNITTED RUG:   This pattern contains directions for making knitted bathroom accessories. Directions are given for a bath mat and seat cover. Knitted on two needles the set is made in the stockinette and the easy cable stitch. Either Rug Cotton, Candlewick, old stockings or four strands of cotton held together can be used.  When completed, the rug measures 30 inches in diameter.  The size of the seat cover is not given (nor shown).  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.   The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 594 in 1946.   It was also marketed under the Alice Brooks brand.
