Round Crochet Place Mat Luncheon Set Pattern Crocheted Cluny

Buffet Set No 1 in Crocheted Cluny : This pattern contains directions to crochet the set shown. Note : The official text indicate that the set gives directions for a 18 inch Mat or Doily, as well as a smaller doily at 16 inches. ( The pattern is the same, the size difference is based on materials used. ). The picture, however, shows different sizes. I would suggest that the large is either 16 or 18 inches in diameter, but you can stop at the size desired. The pattern is vintage 1952 from Lily Mills.

Materials:

• Lily SKY-TONE Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art123: 1 ½ balls White; and
• DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 65: 2 skeins White; or
• Lily Mercerized Crochet, Art. 36: 1 ball White; and
• Steel crochet hooks Nos. 10 and 12.
