Round Lace Medallion Crochet Pattern for Tablecloth

This pattern, vintage 1940's from The Spool Cotton Company, is made up of large 5 1/4 inch medallions with a small and lacy fill-in design between. The design was named Socery and is described : " Capture magic in this filmy design ! If you specialize in fine work, use Clark's O.N.T. Or J.&P. Coats Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, size 30. It's faster to do, with a smart heavier look, in size 20! Made to directions, the finished cloth will measure 53 x 73 inches (10 x 14 motifs). These medallions could also be used in cloths of different sizes.

Materials:

• CLARK'S O.N.T. or J. & P. COATS BIG BALL BEST SIX CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, size 20 or 30 Size 20:
• CLARK'S O.N.T.-18 balls of White or Ecru. OR J. & P. COATS-18 balls of White or Ecru. or 22 balls of any color.
• Milward's Steel Crochet Hook No. 9 or 10.
