Ruffled Centerpiece Hairpin Lace Doily Pattern

Ruffled Lace Doily : This pattern contains directions to create the doily shown. "As crisp and fresh as Spring". This doily, worked on hairpin staples has a lot of pretty going on. A ruffled border, moving inwards through a row of individual circles, and then rows of individual circles in varying colors, measuring 18 inches in diameter when completed. Although a bit small for the titled 'centerpiece', it is a stand-out of doilies.

Materials:

• DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 65, Size 20: 1 skein each White and Em. Green; or
• Lily MERCROCHET Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 161, Size 20: 1 ball White and 2 balls Hunter Green.
• No. 12 Steel Crochet Hook.
• Hairpin staples – 5/8 inch and 1 3/4 inches, outside measurement.
