Ruffled Hexagon Centerpiece Doily Crochet Pattern

Ruffled Hexagon : This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily shown. Did I mention this is a WOW piece. A large doily, a 17 or 19 inches in diameter (depending upon materials used) made up of small hexagon motifs, it maintains the hexagon shape to the end. It's edges with lacy mesh and opens out to a most interesting border that is being referred to as a ruffle. The design is vintage 1950s from Lily Mills.

Materials:

• DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 65:- 2 skeins White and 1 skein Turquoise, size 30;or
• Lily MERCROCHET Cotton, Art. 161:- 2 balls each White and Turquoise, size 30; and Steel crochet hook No. 13.
