Sailor Cardigan Knitting Pattern, Mother Daughter

Sailor Collar Cardigan : This pattern contains directions for knit the cardigans pictured. This set is technically called a 'sister set', but mother / daughter is just as applicable. The childs cardigan is sized 6 to 10 and the larger cardigan is misses 12 to 18. Separate directions are listed for both size groups. The long sleeve sweaters have the classic square backed collar, along with front button band, long sleeves, with ribbed yoke and collar. The patterns, vintage 1950s, are worked in two colors.

Materials (misses):   Spinnerin Top Flight or SpinnerinTouchdown, 10 (11-11-12) 1-oz. pull skeins Royal Blue, main color (MC) ; 2 skeins Red, contrasting color (CC). Knitting needles Nos. 1 and 2. (Or, English sizes, 12 and 11.);   Six red buttons;   Two stitch holders.   (Gauge: 8 sts=1"; 12 rows=1")
