Sequin Trimmed Bolero Knitting Pattern

Sequin Braided Bolero: This beginners to intermediate pattern gives directions for knitting the bolero pictured. The bolero is worked in two colors of Germantown Yarn; the jacket in one tone and the opening trim in the second. The jacket has an open front, loose fitting, waist length with below elbow length sleeves. Purchased braid trim is added in an attractive format around the contrast band. The bolero would be equally as interesting with other types of braid, or no braid at all.

SIZES: Directions are for size 10. Changes for sizes 12, 14 and 16 are in parentheses.

• Body Bust Size: 31" (32"-34"-36" ).
• Blocked Bust Size : 37" ( 38"-40" -42" ).

MATERIALS:

• Columbia-Minerva Calypso Germantown Knitting Worsted (2-or 4-oz. skein), 12 (14-14-16) ozs. of Color A and 4 ozs. of Color B.
• Knitting needles Nos. 6 and 7. (Or English sizes 7 and 6.)
• Two yards 2 ½" grosgrain ribbon.
• Nine yards sequin braid.
• Three stitch holders.

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1"; 6 rows = 1" (stockinette st, No. 7 needles)
