Description

Polar Bear Pullover : This vintage early 1960s pattern contains instructions to Knit, with crochet, the delightfully shaggy pullover sweater pictured above. The ribbed deep V-neckline and cuffs give definition to the shaggy loop stitch, knitted with crochet 'shag', creating a garment this is not just eye catching, but fun.   It is paired up with an easy dickey.  The pattern is one size - medium - 12/14.  

MATERIALS:   Brunswick Pin-Up, 20 50-gram balls ecru for pullover, 3 balls aqua for dickey;   Plastic crochet hook No. G. 14";   Knitting needles Nos. 8 and 10;   Set of dp needles No.8. (Or English sizes 5 and 3.);   One stitch holder;   Tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 3 dc = 1"; 6 rows = 4" (pat st ) , 3 sts = 1"; 5 rows = 1" (stockinette st, No. 10 needles).
