Description

Cardigan Blouse:   This pattern gives instructions to knit the blouse pictured.   The official 1953 magazine description:  " One of this year's separates – a ladylike cardigan blouse, perfect with suits. Its finely drawn details are especially lovely – seed stitch panels marking the front, neat ribbed collar, short narrow sleeves".

Sizes: Directions are written for size 12. Changes for sizes 14 and 16 are in parentheses. 

Materials:  

  • Bernat Corette, 7 (8-9) 1-oz. pull skeins.  
  • Knitting needles Nos. 0 and 2. (Or, English sizes, 13 and 11.)  
  • 1 yd. 1" grosgrain ribbon. 
  • 9 buttons. 

Gauge: 8 sts=1"; 12 rows=1".
