Short Sleeve Sweater Knitting Pattern, Slit Neckline

Chorus No 1031 : This pattern has instructions to knit, crochet detail, the sweater pictured. This is a pullover design, vintage 1936, from Spool Cotton Company. The pullover, with staggered lace pattern stitch, has ribbed neckline and bottom band, short kimono sleeves and a small slit neckline. The pattern directions are written for misses size 34 only.   "A sweater to make you look half your age—with a youthful high neck and short, short sleeves."

Materials:  Chadwick's Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 5 skeins (1 ¾ ounce skein);   Milward's Casein knitting pins, 1 pair No. 6 (4 ¼ mm. size);   Milward's steel crochet hook No. 2;   8 buttons.

Gauge: 5 sts make 1 inch; 7 rows make 1 inch.
