Description

Six Filet Crochet Edging:  These dainty trimmings are designed to be made crosswise of the piece, then sewn to hemmed edges of the linen or garment. Insertions should be sewn to two such hemmed edges. They are nice for bedlinens, vanity sets, aprons, curtains, luncheon sets, etc.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot No 5811.

MATERIALS: #30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and #10 Steel Crochet Hook (Standard Size) will produce edgings and/or bands 2"--like #3 – to 3"--like #1--in width. For finer edgings, etc, use #40 or #50 thread with #12 or #14 crochet hook. For coarser ones, use Bedspread Cotton and #8 hook.
