Slipover Sweater Knitting Pattern Detachable Striped Collar

Turtle Neck Slipover : This pattern contains directions to knit the sweater shown. The sweater here is on the average side; loose fitting, hip length with long sleeves. But what takes it from average to WOW is the striped turtleneck styled collar. And, the collar is detachable so you can wear it or not .... The knitted sweater blouse is vintage 1960s from American Thread. It is misses size Small (10-12), Medium (14-16) and Large (18-20). Directions are written for small, with changes for medium and large in parentheses.

Materials:

• AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED, 18 (20, 22) ounces Dark Oxford 2 ounces (all sizes) White or colors of your choice
• 1 Pro Knitting Needles No.6 and No.9 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE.

GAUGE for No. 9 needles: 9 sts = 2 inches; 6 rows = 1 inch
