Small Drawstring Pouch Bag Knitting Pattern

A- Mail Pouch : This pattern contains instructions to knit the bag pictured above. The bag, with rows of bold cables, is 13 x 15 inches with a tie braid. The inside is lined with felt. This is a perfect little bag to use for ... well ... whatever you would like to use it for. The design is vintage 1960s from Coats and Clarks.

Materials:  COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T.® RUG YARN (70 yard skeins): 4 skeins of No. 126 Spanish Red; 1 skein each of No. 1 White and No. 89 Sapphire Blue;   Knitting Needles, 1 pair No. 10;   10 white plastic rings, 1 inch in diameter;   2 pieces of red felt, 13 inches square and 2 pieces 4 x 13 inches;   Heavy cardboard, 3 1/2 x 14 inches.

GAUGE: Pattern Stitch-4 sts = 1 inch; 5 rows = 1 inch.
