Smocked Necklace Knitted Blouse Pattern

Necklace Blouse: This pattern contains directions to knit the blouse shown. An unusual design, which was called a Necklace Blouse for the intriguing smocked braid that surrounds the rounded neckline, edges of the extended shoulders and multiple rows that define the waist. The blouse is a pullover, knit in three colors of Fingering Wool and sized for women 12, 14, 16 and 18. This pattern is vintage 1948.

Materials:

• Dritz Australian Fingering Wool Art. #134. 5(6,6,7) 1-oz. skeins Lime (MC), 1 (1,1,2) skeins Black (CC). Small amount of 3rd color (Red) for smocking.
• No. 2 and No. 4 knitting needles.
• Shoulder pads.

GAUGE: Stockinette st. 7 sts =1 ". 9 rows =1 ".
