Square Pineapple Crochet Doily Design 280

Crocheted Pineapple Centerpiece:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily pictured.   This design is a large square doily in pineapple design with a central sunflower motif.  When completed this doily square will measure 22 inches.   Note:  This is an advanced pattern. 

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed under the names of Needlework Bureau and Ellen  Bruce in 1948.    

Materiasl: About 1200 yds #30 Mercerized Crochet Thread. Use #10 steel crochet-hook. Makes 22" square. To make a larger centerpiece, use #9 hook and #20 thread; or, a #8 hook and #10 thread.
