Description

Crocheted Doilies: These crocheted doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They make very attractive buffet and luncheon sets or they can be used as odd doilies. The doily may be crocheted in small, medium and large for sizes that are 18, 14, 12-1/2, 10, 6 and 4-1/2 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6350 in 1939

Materials:   Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook, or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.   The large doily requires approximately 262 yards of heavy cotton or 205 yards of fine cotton; the medium sized doily requires approximately 124 yards of heavy cotton or 94 yards of fine cotton; the small doily requires approximately 26 yards of heavy cotton or 20 yards of fine cotton.
