Star Doily Knitting Pattern Design 2838

Star Doily : This pattern contains directions for knitting, crochet edge, the doily pictured. This is a delightful design. It's an eight point star worked in Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The center starts with a floral shaped stars and radiates outward to a large scale eight point star.

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Peggy Roberts R2838 by Needlework Bureau.  The newspaper description:  "Here is the heirloom doily so many readers have been waiting to knit. Made either of linen or cotton, the finished doily measures 8" in diameter. Easy knitting even for a novice and the finished piece is so lacy everyone will love it".

Materials:  1 Large Ball Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Size 30, white;   KNITTING NEEDLES; 1 set (5) Double Pointed No. "0" (Standard Size);   Steel Crochet Hook No. 8 (Standard Size).
