Star Flower Crochet Bedspread Pattern in Two Colors No 623

Star Bedspread No 623 : This pattern gives directions to crochet the bedspread pictured. This quite unique design takes us back to 1939 -- thank you Lily Mills. The pattern centers around star motifs with fill and mesh borders. The design is complimented by being worked in two colors of Crochet Cotton.  One-third of the border is worked directly onto the spread, all around, while the remaining two-thirds are worked separate and then sewed to the spread. (The border measures 12 inches.) A spread approximately 83 x102 inches should have 13 rows of star-motifs in the width and 19 in the length. In the border there should be 17 motifs (including the 2 corner motifs) in the width, and 20 and one-half motifs in the length.

MATERIALS

• Lily Skytone Crochet Cotton, Yellow and Cream. (Other colors may be chosen.) An average size spread requires about 15 balls Cream and 14 balls Yellow.
• No. 8 crochet hook.
