Star Medallion Crochet Pattern Design 7404

Crocheted Medallion:  This crocheted medallion can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, pillows and other household articles.   Crochet the medallion at 4-1/2 or 6 inches depending upon materials selected.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7404 in 1947.

Materials:  Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 9 steel crochet hook or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook.   Each medallion requires approximately 32 yards of heavy cotton or 25 yards of fine cotton.
