Description

Star Stitch Sheath: This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the dress shown. This is a simple, yet quite attractive design, worked in Mohair with Lurex in a star stitch. The short sleeved pullover dress, knit on big needles, has a rounded neckline, knee length (adjustable) hem and elastic waist with belt.

SIZES: Directions for size 12. Changes for sizes 14, 16, 18 are in parentheses. Fits Bust Size: 32" (34"-36"-38").

MATERIALS:

  • Reynolds Mohair No. 1 with Lurex, 12 (13-14-15) 40-gr. balls.
  • 14" knitting needles Nos. 7 and 8. (Or English sizes 6 and 5.)
  • Steel crochet hook No. 1.
  • Matching sewing thread.
  • One yard round elastic.
  • Matching taffeta or 1 ½ yards grosgrain ribbon, 1 ½" wide.

GAUGE: 5 pats (20 sts) = 4"; 11 rows = 2" (worked with No. 7 and 8 needles, after blocking).
