Striped Afghan Knitting Pattern, Seed Stitch

Persian Stripes :   This pattern gives directions for knitting, crochet edge, the afghan pictured.   This pretty design is worked in panels of Knitting Worsted in alternating panels of seed stitch and a textured pattern stripe in three 5 corresponding colors.   The panels are joined, with sc all the way around to create an afghan or throw that measures 55 x 72 inches (without fringe).    

Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED 

• 12 ounces each Purple and Violet  
• 22 ounces each Dk. Violet and Peacock  
• 6 ounces Golf Green (or colors of your choice)  
• Plastic Knitting Needles No. 10 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW  
• Plastic Crochet Hook size I
