Description

Knitted Quexquemetl: This pattern gives instructions for knitting, crochet edging, the poncho called. The pattern is termed a Quexquemetl (Brightly colored Aztec styled poncho). It is knit in 5 colors in a striped pattern stitch. It's an easy pattern that will result in future fun. The pattern is one size.

MATERIALS:

  • Spinnerin Marvel-Twist, 2 4-oz. skeins fuchsia, main color (MC); one 4-oz. skein each of chartreuse (C) and white (W); one 4-oz. skein each of orange (0) and turquoise (T).
  • 14" knitting needles No. 3. (Or English size 10.)
  • Steel crochet hook No. 1.

GAUGE: 6 sts = 1"; 12 rows = 1".
