Striped Shell Top Knitting Pattern

Striped Cotton Shell: This pattern contains instructions to knit, with crochet edges, the striped shell pictured above. This fun piece, along with the stripes, has slightly extended shoulders with neck tabs sporting button (decorative) detail. The vintage 1960s pattern is sized 10 to 16. Instructions are written for size 10, with changes for 12, 14 and 16 shown in parentheses.

Materials:   - COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "Speed-Cro-Sheen" Mercerized Cotton: Color A- 4 (5-6-6) balls; Color B- 5 (5-6-7) balls;   - 4 buttons.;   - Knitting Needles: 1 pair No. 5 or size required to knit to gauge;   - MILWARDS Steel crochet hook No. 2/0(00). .

Gauge: 11 sts = 2"; 9 rows = 1".
