Description

Striped Yoke Slipon : This pattern contains directions to knit the slipon pictured. This is an attractive top design that takes us all the way back to 1948. The pattern, worked in Knitting Worsted to Sock Yarn, is in a primary and two contrast colors. The top yoke portion is knit in a horizontal stripe motif that runs across the extended shoulders and very short sleeves. The top, with high neckband has a back neck closure. The pattern instructions are written for misses size 14, with changes for 16 and 18 in parentheses.

MATERIALS:

  • Columbia Featherweight Knitting Worsted (2-oz. Skein). 4 (5, 6) skeins Light Navy (MC). 1 skein each Scarlet (A) and White (B), or Columbia Sock and Sweater Yarn (2-oz. ball). Same amounts.
  • Needles: 1 pr. each No. 2 and No. 3, length 14".
