Description

Knitted Suit : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the suit shown. Here we have a quite attractive suit that consists of a slim skirt, loose fitting topper jacket and a lacy mesh shell blouse. The skirt, knit to your desired length, is very easy with a simple elastic casing. The jacket, with straight slimming lines and open front has three quarter sleeves. Both the jacket hem sides and sleeves have a slit; the edges have added appeal using purchased braid. The lacy shell is an easy pullover affair with extended shoulders and a low drape front. All three pieces are sized for misses 12, 14, 16 and 18. Now, the pictures for this vintage 1953 design from Botany are far from marvelous, but the designs are quite appealing and an intermediate knit.
