Crocheted Panel and Edging : "This pattern contains directions and charts for making a panel 12 x 19 inches if made of No 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or 18 x 28 inches if made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton also for a 10-inch edging to be made only of the No 50 cotton. If the panel is being used as an alter cloth it must be made of the No 50 cotton to match". This is a lovely wall panel and edgings that are sure to become heirloom item in your family.

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2385 in 1939. 

Materials: No. 50 Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook, or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) .skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.   The panel requires 4 (150 yard) balls of fine cotton or 2 (500 yard) skeins of heavy cotton.
