Three crocheted Doilies, Design 717

Crocheted Doilies:  This pattern contains directions for three matching crocheted doilies worked in a combination of pineapple and shell stitches. Use either fine or heavy cotton.  The square doilies may be worked at 9 x 9 or 13 x 13 inches.  The round doilies are 9 or 13 inches in diameter.  The oval doilies are 8 x 13, or 12 x 19 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 717 in 1957.  "The better the day, the better the deed.  How good the day will seem when you crochet an entire doily.   Each takes but a day to do".
