Toddler Knitted Pullover Sweater Cardigan Pattern

Barnyard Twins: This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet and embroidery detail, both the garments pictured. This pattern set, from Columbia Minerva, vintage 1960s, includes a sweater for the girl and the boy. Of course, the girl could wear the cardigan as well. The pullover sweater features a round collar, short sleeves and chest motif. The cardigan has long sleeves, v-neck and motif near the bottom. The pattern is toddler sized, 2, 3 and 4. Directions are given for size 2, with changes for 3 and 4 shown in parentheses.

Materials:

• Nantuk Fingering Yarn- 1 primary color, plus 3 corresponding colors for the motif.
• Knitting Needles: One pair each Boye Sizes 3 and 4
• One steel crochet hook Size 3.

Gauge: Stockinette St on Size 4 - 7 sts to 1 inch; 10 rows to 1 inch.
