Tyrolean Helmet and Gloves :  This vintage 1953 pattern contains instructions to crochet the set pictured above. Included is a Tyrolean Helmet (styled hat) and a pair of mittens. Both have cross stitch detail (freeform - chart not included). Crochet and wear this warm winter set for fun. 

MATERIALS:  - Botany Brand Germantown Knitting Worsted (2 oz. skein), White (MC);2 sks; Red (A): 1 sk.; Green (B): 1 sk.;    No. 0 steel crochet hook;    1 yd. round elastic. 

GAUGE: 4 hdc = 1"; 3 rows (hdc) = 1".
