Jumper Blouse : This pattern has instructions to knit the blouse pictured. A bit blouse, a bit pullover, a bit shell ... call it whatever you like. It's a relatively easy knit, sleeveless with u-neckline and wide bottom band ribbing. The design, vintage 1950, is sized for misses 12, 14 and 16. The official magazine description: "Jumper Blouse is one of those young separates – all the rage now – that increase the importance of a shirt 'n' skirt outfit. It has season to season usefulness. Right now it's saying 'take me to summer school” and “pack me in your vacation wardrobe”.

- Hiawatha Heather 4-Ply Sock and Sweater Wool, Art. 31, or Hiawatha Shrink-resistant British 3-Ply Super-Fingering Wool, Art. 30, 5 (6-6) 1-oz. skeins.
- Knitting needles Nos. 1 and 2 (standard). English sizes, 12 and 11.
