Windbreaker Jacket Knitting Pattern

Windbreaker : This pattern contains instructions to knitting, crochet detail, the cardigan shown. Billed as a windbreaker, vintage 1953, this delight design has full long sleeves, a small notch collar, front button closure, patch pockets at breast level, and wide ribbing at waist length. The design is sized for women 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20. Directions are written for a size 12, with changes for other sizes in parenthesis.

Materials:

• Bishop's Fingering Yarn, 3 Ply, (1 oz. pull-skein), 13 (13, 14, 14, 15) sks.
• 1 pr. each Hero Standard No. 1 and No. 3 knitting needles.
• No. 3 steel crochet hook. 1-1/2 yds.
• 1" grosgrain ribbon.
• 7 buttons.

GAUGE: 7 sts = 1"; 10 rows = 1".

Knitted Bust Measurements Buttoned: 31 (33, 35, 37, 39)". Fullness allowed.
