Raglan Sleeved Cardigan: This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the cardigan pictured. The official description: "Cardigan, made in stockinette stitch, has many special features: it is knit from the neck to the lower border; the raglan sleeves are worked with the yoke, to the underarm. The front bands of garter stitch are knit in with the body of the sweater; the buttonholes are machine-made.   SIZES: Directions for size 10-12. Changes for sizes 14-16, 18-20, 40-42 and 44-46 are in parentheses. 

MATERIALS:   Knitting worsted, 4 (4-5-6-6) 4-oz. skeins;   29" circular knitting needles Nos. 5 and 8. (Or English sizes 8 and 5.);   Steel crochet hook No. 0;   Four stitch holders;   Eight buttons;   1-1/2 yards 1-1/2" grosgrain ribbon.

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1"; 6 rows = 1" (No. 8 needle). Note: Cardigan is worked from neck to lower edge.
