Description

Yarn and Ribbon Blouse :   This pattern contains directions for knitting the blouse shown.   The official description of this vintage 1953 pattern:  " Party Perfect – nylon yarn and ribbon blouse with a 'silk print' look and a dandified waistcoat air. Little sleeves and an up-or-down collar. Knit of Minerva Nylon Sweater and Sock Yarn ".  

Sizes: Directions for size 12. Changes for sizes 14 and 16 are in parentheses.  

Materials:  

  • Minerva Nylon Sweater and Sock Yarn (Dupont Permanent "Crimp-Set"), 7 (7-8) 1-oz. balls main color (MC)   
  • and Minerva Nylon Ribbon, 2 100-yd. spools contrasting color (CC). 
  • "Bove" 14" knitting needles No. 2. (Or, English size, 11)  
  • 1-1/2 yds. 1" grosgrain ribbon. 
  • 1 yd. elastic thread. 
  • Eight 1/2" buttons, 
  • 1 small button.
