Chair Sets
Financially, times were lean during the 1940s into the 1960s and funds were often not available for new furnishings. Chair sets because an immensely popular pattern offering in the Mail Order arena. These designs were created to disguise worn or protect newer, furniture. Designs were created in many motifs - birds, flowers, pineapples, etc. Many also used these designs to grace their buffet tables or sew to the ends of fabric scarves to add to entry tables or join to use as centerpieces.
